Most Paradises are Sought , Not Found Perchance
At just a 2 hours drive from Delhi, we welcome you to our home, a 300 year old majestic fort – to experience an authentic heritage experience amidst a surreal mix of landscapes, history, people and culture for the discerning traveller .
Guests are looked after personally by the members of the royal family and the kitchen serves personally supervised meals with age old favourite recipes
We try to make every guest revisit history, live as our forefathers did and leave with a feeling that they had indeed stayed at the ancestral home of the Kuchsesar family and not a hotel.
‘Come…… and be at home with us at Kuchesar fort – where History is tangible and time stands still”

As soon as you enter the Fort you are several centuries back.. You can imagine how the life was especially when you are in the living room and the billiard and Library one.
All the photos spread all over the property help you to imagine how the life was in the old days. The food is really tasty end entirely prepared at home. There is no strong enough word to qualify the kindness of the owners and the dedicated staff who do their best and even more to make your stay as pleasant as possible. I do warmly recommend to spend a few days in this awesome and unique place which for sure will be one of your best souvenirs of your trip to North India! I shall come back!

Rao Raj Vilas is one of my favourite heritage properties in India.
I keep experiencing this very special place for the last 8 years, and Rao Raj Vilas is like a ”second home”, thanks to the amazing attention from the owners and team, very welcoming and dedicated.
Thanks to the charm of the fort and the village.

U can book Valentines day special dinner here admist sunset and a late bonfire. Long walks along scenic fields. Hygiene is 5 on 5 and the rooms are well done, 4 star luxury experience. There are peacocks in the verandas with excellent evening tea( i drink coffee but i still loved the cinnamon tea). There are beautiful courtyards in the middle of all rooms. The walls and black and white pictures tell the story of 1800s India. U can request a heritage history tour for the premises. Or go for fresh water dolphin sighting . There is 150 yr old shiv temple . TT table is there. swimming pool is there . I will book it for my wedding very cozy place and friendly staff.

Stayed here for one night with my family for as part of our short weekend break. Had initial communication with Charu Sigh who was very prompt and easy to deal with. When we visited the fort, it was the owner Anek and his staff that took care of us the staff and owners went the extra mile to make sure that my kids had a lovely time at the resort by arranging for horse riding and kite flying. The other families staying at the hotel also told me that the bullock cart ride is very good for children The resort also has a nice swimming pool, which is a big plus. The rooms still maintain the old world charm, and are very clean and well maintained. The other big attraction of the hotel is the food. Both my daughters are very fussy eaters, but had all the meals in the hotel without any problems and the meals were indeed very delicious

it is a perfect place to relax amidst nature’s best, dine from the kitchen of the royal family, and experience luxury.
The personal touch and the welcome by the royal family made us feel at home which is often missing in fancy hotels.
We enjoyed learning about the history of the fort, sitting by the poolside, walking in the orchards, and eating freshly-made jaggery. However, tourists need to be careful that there are two forts in the area. Do specify Rao Raj Vilas while booking and asking for directions on the road.

Our family visited in Januray 2016 and found this place completely mesmerizing. We enjoyed every bit of the family time we spent here. The hospitality and the food were appreciable. Really enjoyed the Bonfire. The royal family was giving us all the personal touch. Thanks to Charu Singh for making this happen and special thanks to Anek Singh for taking care of us. Would love to go back!!!

It is a massive expanse of an area, with well laid out gardens, temples and lawns. The building which is the main residence has a distinct character to its edifice. The owners add their personal touch with constant interaction, be it talking us through the family and the fort history, explaining the delicious and customised lunch preparations to even taking us to their family mango orchard nearby.
The rooms and its decor has many stories to tell and one must take his or her time exploring each facets. The sparkling pool, the roaming peacocks, the variety of birds and the family galloping horse, all adds up to the charm of this place.
